About Sherrell Trejo Jewelry & Designs
My name is Sherrell Trejo, and I own this small business that was founded by my mother-in-law, Loretta Redhouse, established over 35 years ago. I am Diné, also known as Navajo, and I was born and raised in the Diné reservation, in a small town called Tonalea, Arizona. I am passionate about sharing each piece of jewelry I create, each one imbued with stories and meaning from my culture. Additionally, I love to showcase other local Native artists who also infuse their work with deep cultural significance.
At Sherrell Trejo Jewelry & Designs, each piece is more than just an accessory—it’s a reflection of heritage, artistry, and timeless tradition. With over 35 years of experience in handcrafted Native American–inspired jewelry, Sherrell creates designs that honor culture, craftsmanship, and connection.
From carefully selected stones like turquoise and coral to detailed silverwork and symbolic patterns, every creation is made with intention. Each design carries meaning, whether it represents harmony, protection, or the beauty of the natural world.
While much of Sherrell’s journey has been shared through local markets and art shows, this new chapter is about reaching a wider community—sharing the art, the stories, and the spirit behind every piece.
What We Offer:
- Handcrafted jewelry made with care and respect for tradition
- Unique designs that blend cultural heritage with modern style
- Custom pieces created to reflect your personal story
At Sherrell Trejo Jewelry & Designs, jewelry is more than what you wear—it’s something you carry with you, a connection to history, beauty, and meaning.tle risk-taking, and a whole lot of yarn.

Why I Do This
Jewelry making has always been more than a craft—it’s a calling. For over two decades, creating jewelry has been a way to honor tradition, celebrate culture, and share beauty with others. Each piece carries meaning, whether it’s the story of the stone, the symbolism of the design, or the hands that shape it.
At the heart of this work is connection—connecting people to art, to heritage, and to something lasting. The joy comes from knowing that every piece finds a home where it becomes part of someone’s journey.
A Bit of Fun
For years, you could find me setting up a booth at art fairs, local markets, and cultural events. These shows have always been some of the most rewarding experiences—meeting people face-to-face, hearing their stories, and watching their eyes light up when they find the perfect piece.
There’s something special about the energy of an art fair: the music, the food, the laughter, and the community coming together. It’s never just about selling jewelry—it’s about sharing stories, creating memories, and celebrating creativity in all its forms.
